Here’s is a summary of the subjects you will learn:

  • The building blocks of a Sencha Touch application.
  • How to implement the Model-View-Controller pattern in a Sencha Touch application.
  • How to create an application with multiple views, and how to implement an intuitive navigation pattern between them.
  • How to create list-based and master-detail user interfaces in a Sencha Touch application.
  • How to capture, edit and validate data using Sencha Touch form-based user interfaces.
  • How Sencha Touch stores data on the device using HTML5 local storage.
  • How to use the Sencha SDK Tools to create a production build of your application.

Is there anything new in the book or can I read it all in your blog?

The last chapter is something entirely new. It explains how to use the Sencha SDK Tools to create a production build of your application. I have not blogged about this subject. The remaining chapters are based on the articles I have published, however, they also contain the feedback I have received from readers and clients.

I bought the book couple of days back. I have started reading it. I think I should be done in a day.
Your approach of explaining is really cool. Its like developer to developer.
Are your planning to publish anything about the detailed architecture of a Sencha touch framework, list of API’s, cheat sheets, Sencha command reference, other demo apps to demonstrate other Sencha capabilities etc. ??
May be Part II of the book!

Again, this book is a great reference!

      Thank you Abhishek!

I’m planning on publishing more on Sencha Touch. I still have not decided, but it will probably be practical examples that help developers understand how to use Sencha Touch in real world projects.
